The rollercoaster continue
Today, I can say that Novak’s hot spot is healed completely, I removed his cone last night and he doesn’t want to lick anymore. The blemishes on his lips, nose seem to be stable, but I wish they would heal faster. I canceled his surgery on july 28th because of his skin issues, but now, I feel that maybe I should go ahead…but…my boss said that she couldnt give me my week of vacation like I already planned…that sucks. I dont know what to do anymore, cause the next available spot for surgery is in mid september…its so far and his leg seem more painful than usual. I would problably get at least 4 days after his surgery, so not that bad and my boyfriend is home sleeping all day(works night shift). I feel like one day the surgery is on, the next not, the next on, the next not….etc…. seriously, can we plan and stick to the plan???
I really need to buy a carpet for the hallway, Novak is always running/slipping on that part of the house when he want to go outside, so I can’t imagine him going on 3 legs like that!
Sorry – how stressful. Yes, I think you will want a few days at home. My advice is you don’t have to take the surgery day off – Novak won’t be coming home till a few hours after.
Yes, a carpet runner for that hallway is a good idea.
Hope you can get it scheduled and the time off you need.
I know you are frustrated, as we all would be!!
Geez, that must be a very, very busy clinic to not be able to reschedule any sooner!
Glad to hear all his “issues” are healing up nicely. Talk with your vet and see what they think about doi g the surgery as planned.
If I recall, I took five days off to stay home with my Happy Hannah after her amputation. It’s just my self so sleep was very little. I would think taki g off a few days and then your boyfriend being there too, would be just fine. And yes, carpet for the hallway a REALLY good idea!
That photo just blows me away!! You shoukd win some type of award! REALLY!
Hugs to all!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
