1 day to go

This morning, I brought Novak at work to do his pre op and shave the area for the fentanyl patch. Everything is good and we are a GO for tomorrow. This is really happening, OMG… I have butterflies in my stomach now… but im still doing ok. Its like a dream today, its like, wow, Im really doing this. I have the rest of the day off today…will try not to focus on will happen tomorrow, but enjoy my day off with my boy. Have to install the patch later today, I will wait till maybe 5pm.

    What a handsome boy!

    Keep an eye on the patch edges if its not wrapped or held down. When Sheba had her TPLO the constantly curled up and got snagged on the unshaved hair, which is probably more painful for long haired dogs like Novak. For the amp, they ended up wrapping them onto her remaining legs, that worked much better but were a pain to get off because it was a different brand that stuck a lot better!

    Catch up on bills, cleaning, do some make ahead meals so you just need to heat thing up. it really helps.

    Thanks! The patch are wrapped very tightly, nothing is moving LOL Yes, I will take to time to relax and watch movies with my boy next to me. Thanks for the advice.

    Oh good luck to your Ruby and you! Im getting very nervous right now and his fentanyl is making him sleepy and can’t walk normaly…Im using the harness already!
